FREE for Bloggers!

Blog about XML Manager or CSV Manager and get a FREE single developer license.

We're running a promotion just for bloggers. If you have a blog you can get yourself a free copy of one of our Java components just by writing a blog entry.

View the latest blog posts.

So what's the deal?

Here's how it works. Download the trial version of one of our products and try it out. Don't worry, the trial versions are fully functional, just time-limited. Then do a write-up on your blog. Positive or negative, doesn't matter.

Then all you have to do is let us know about your blog entry using our contact form. Include a link to your blog entry and we'll send you a download link to the full version.

Come on, what's the catch?

That's all it is &mdash you write about us, you get a free license. It's a nice way for us to get some blog entries about our products and for you to get a free Java component. You'll probably want to make this clear to your readers, of course.

And when we say positive or negative, we really mean it. When you point out failings in our products that's really helpful. Then we know how to make them better. We've never been shy of admitting our mistakes. It's part of the Ricebridge philosophy of building trustworthy components.

What Are The Rules?

Exactly the same as for our regular competition. You'll probably want to have a look at those. They're written in plain language and they're not in small print.

This promotion for bloggers has some additional rules. Hey, that's life!

1. We'll decide what a blog is. Don't worry, if you have a legitimate blog, and even if you don't post very frequently, you're good to go.

2. You're going to need to link to the Ricebridge site. That's kinda the whole point of the exercise, wouldn't you say?

3. You'll need to write more than just a simple link. We want to know want you think.

4. You agree to be listed on our blog entries page. It's really handy for our customers to read up on your experiences. Anyway, it's a link back to your blog as well!

5. The start date is Jun 27th 2006. If you posted before that, sorry. The end date is at our discretion.

6. For qualifying blog posts, you will receive a complementary single developer license of the component that you blogged about. You can blog about more than one component, but each component should be discussed in a separate post.

This is blatant commercial pollution of the blogosphere!

Uh Huh. So you'll want to make sure your readers know why you're doing it.

"Your product actually did help a lot! I was able to accelerate my development time quite a bit and your service support was also real nice."
Luis Garcia,
Independent Contractor
"An event-based CSV parser is so much more flexible and elegant than the free alternatives that I found. We use it for applications which require a mixture of XML and CSV data. This requires a parser that performs well, uses memory efficiently, simplifies data access and accurately formats output data. We found the Ricebridge parser easy to work with, conspicuously well documented and capable of handling large (500kb+) files. That's a big thumbs up from all the Gaisan team."
Shane Dempsey,
Gaisan
"We use XML to process large volumes of transactions, and our nightly jobs were becoming all-day jobs. We replaced our old DOM code with a few XML Manager XPaths and the whole thing was really easy. Our production servers are running fine and the all the jobs are completed on time."
Derek Conniffe,
Rivertower
"I would have spent all day trying to read CSV fields that contained commas. I bought your software about 15 minutes ago and my problem is ALREADY solved. Thank you very, very much for a quality piece of software."
Adrian Klingel,
Illumaware
"Ricebridge CSV Manager was really easy to integrate into our existing system, and has been completely reliable for data transfer, not to mention a big time saver!"
Fred Crowe,
Speech-Writers
"We had an absolutely critical deadline, and Ricebridge User Manager really saved the day! It was easy to fit in with our database design and flexible enough to keep going when we changed our database server."
Thomas Kock,
Linuxpartner
"We were able to integrate the Jostraca template engine into our application server software quickly and cleanly, and at this stage, we consider it to be one of those things that 'just works'."
Paul Lyons,
Aran Technologies
